ResinToolbox helps you mix and pour epoxy resin right the first time.
Hi, I’m Alex Tran
I started ResinToolbox while learning resin myself. Like most beginners, I wanted clear answers to simple questions: how much resin do I need, what ratio do I mix, and why are there bubbles in my piece? The answers were spread across product pages, forums and long videos, so I began putting them in one place.
You can see everything I have written on my author page. I am not a chemist, and I do not pretend to know everything about resin. When I test a technique myself, I share my own photos and results, including the mistakes. When something depends on a specific product, I point you to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Resin is expensive, and a mistake is hard to undo. Mix the wrong ratio and it stays sticky. Pour too little and the piece is ruined. Pour too thick in one layer and it can crack or turn yellow. This site offers simple tools and guides that answer the questions people ask before every pour.
What you will find here
- Free calculators that work out how much resin and hardener you need, and what it will cost.
- Step-by-step guides for beginners, from mixing your first batch to fixing bubbles and soft spots.
- Project walkthroughs for coasters, trays, jewelry, table tops and river tables.
Who it is for
- People trying resin art at home for the first time.
- Makers who sell resin pieces and want to keep material costs under control.
- Woodworkers and DIYers coating table tops or pouring river tables.
How I work
I check every calculator against worked examples, and I explain the formula on each tool page so you can check the math yourself. The manufacturer’s instructions and safety data sheet always come first.
